29 India House is registered in the Library of Congress for its splendid preservation of New England design in the 1700s. Later Federal-period changes give the house patrician elegance.

Luckily it survived the1846 Great Fire that destroyed much of the historic center.

Today you can enjoy the spectrum of American life and architecture from the 18^th to the 21^st century.
